Web design for Bondi businesses.

Bondi trades on foot traffic, regulars and visitors, and most of the searching happens on a phone within a couple of kilometres of your door.

The Bondi market

Three audiences at once

Bondi, Bondi Junction, Bronte, Tamarama and the surrounding Eastern Suburbs mix long-term locals, renters who move often, and a heavy flow of visitors — domestic and international, seasonal and unpredictable.

  • Hospitality where hours, menu, location and booking are the entire site, and where visitors search in the moment.
  • Fitness, yoga, pilates and wellness studios selling memberships and class packs, where the timetable and the intro-class offer are the conversion.
  • Beauty, allied health and personal services living on repeat bookings.
  • Trades and property services working across apartments, strata buildings and renovations in a dense, older housing stock.

What the site has to do

Answer the immediate question first: are you open, where exactly are you, can I book now. Hours that are actually current matter more than any design choice — nothing costs a local business more goodwill than a site showing last summer's timetable.

Booking should be one tap, not a form that becomes an email that becomes a phone call. For studios, put the timetable on the site rather than only in an app.

Visitors search in bursts on mobile data at the beach. Keep pages light, keep the address in text, and make sure tapping the address opens maps.

Questions from businesses in Bondi

Do we need a website if we are busy on Instagram?

Instagram brings discovery; the website converts it and is what Google shows. You also own it — a platform change cannot take your bookings with it.

How do we handle seasonal trade?

Build the site so hours, offers and timetables are easy to change, and say clearly when seasonal arrangements apply. Out-of-date hours are the most expensive error a local business makes online.

Should we list prices for classes and treatments?

Yes for standard packages. It is the first thing people compare, and hiding it just moves the question to a phone call you have to answer.
