SEO that starts with the structure, not a monthly report.

A site with the right pages, written for the way people search and built so Google can crawl and understand it, does most of the work. That is what we set up before launch.

Technical SEO

Can Google crawl, render and index it?

Before anything else, the basics have to be right. On every build we set and check:

  • A self-referencing canonical on every indexable URL, so the same page does not compete with itself.
  • robots.txt that allows crawling, and a sitemap containing only canonical, indexable URLs.
  • Consistent URLs: lower case, hyphenated, one trailing-slash convention, no duplicates with and without www.
  • Correct status codes — 200 for real pages, 301 for anything moved, a genuine 404 page for the rest.
  • lang="en-AU", charset, viewport and a unique title, meta description and H1 per page.
  • Valid structured data: Organization, Service, BreadcrumbList and FAQPage where the questions are really on the page. No invented review stars.

On-page: one page, one intent

Keyword cannibalisation is the most common problem we find on small business sites — five pages all half about the same thing, so none of them is the obvious answer. We map a single primary intent to each URL, then cover the related questions inside that page: what it costs, how long it takes, which suburbs, what happens next.

Headings follow the structure of the content rather than the font size we want. Internal links use descriptive anchors, so both readers and crawlers know where a link goes before they follow it.

Local SEO for Sydney

Local visibility comes from three things working together: a complete Google Business Profile, consistent business details wherever you are listed, and pages on your own site that genuinely cover the areas you serve. Suburb pages work when they say something specific — the kinds of jobs you do there, travel and call-out details, local projects. Six near-identical pages with the suburb name swapped are doorway pages, and they are the fastest way to get the whole set discounted.

Search Console from day one

At launch we verify the property, submit the sitemap and request indexing for the priority pages, then hand you the access. From then on you can see the searches you appear for, which is the only honest measure of whether any of this worked.

What we will not do

No tricks that cost you the site later.

No keyword stuffing, no hidden text, no purchased link networks, no fake review markup, no doorway suburb pages, no AI-spun articles published by the dozen. Every one of those either does nothing or works until it is caught, and the recovery costs more than the shortcut ever saved.

Common questions

Can you guarantee first place on Google?

No, and neither can anyone else. Nobody controls Google's results. What we can do is make sure the site is crawlable, that each page targets one clear intent, that it is fast on mobile and that the information a searcher wants is actually on the page.

How long does SEO take to show anything?

For a brand new site, expect months rather than weeks for competitive Sydney terms. Long-tail pages — a specific service in a specific suburb — usually move first.

Do you do ongoing SEO campaigns?

The work described here is the SEO foundation that comes with a site build: structure, on-page, technical and local setup. If you want ongoing content and link work after that, ask and we will tell you honestly whether it is worth it for your market.

What about Google Business Profile?

It is the highest-leverage local task for most service businesses, and it is free. We will point out what to fill in and link it correctly from the site. It is your profile, in your name — we do not list a fake address to game the map pack.

Will you write the content?

We write the page structure and the commercial copy. Anything that depends on facts only you have — licence numbers, service areas, real project details — comes from you.
